Incident 1
We went for dinner at the restaurant opposite our hostel and we ordered our food from the same waiter as usual. We ordered 3 sweet melon juices. Minutes later, he came in with 3 pineapple juices. This is not the first time and we've tolerated enough of this crap so we questioned him.
Us: What juice is this?
Waiter: Pineapple
Us: We ordered sweet melon juice.
Waiter: No more melon juice. He insisted on serving us the juice.
Us: Take these away we don't want it.
Waiter: Shaking his head, still forcing us to take the juice. No more melon juice.
Us: If you don't have melon juice, tell us you don't have, why serve us pineapple juice? Take it back.
Waiter: Looking bad. He asked us to hold on as he go check out.
He came back later and said there's no more melon juice so we asked him to take the pineapple juice away.
Incident 2
Sometimes when we buy things, we don't have small change so we have no choice but to give Rs100 note (=RM10).
Cashier: Change?
Me: No change.
Cashier: No change?.. shaking his head waiting for the change to drop from heaven while looking at me.
Me: NO CHANGE!!
Cashier: Showing his black face as if it's my fault while searching for the change in the drawer. And he has the change!
Me: (Damn it.. This is money larh! Don't want to earn money is it?!)
Incident 3
Lecturers: We expect you to give us respect, at least basic respect as lecturers bla bla bla
Ironically, have you as lecturers respected us as students? We've been treated like kids, quietly accepting your critcism even if it's ridiculous, even with a sarcacism in the tone, even if you're shouting at us, we've been keeping quiet all these while and we've never argued back. All I want to say is, we also don't expect much, we too want to be treated with respect, at least the basic respect as students. Its just a mutual thing, when people respect you, automatically you will respect them in return. It's that simple.
