Wow its been more than a week i have not been updating this blog, sort of ran out of ideas of what to post. It's not easy to maintain a blog and many bloggers out there i believe are like me who are filled with the enthusiasm when starting their blog but tend to end up abandoning it.
For the past week~ PIDC Cup is going to start soon so we're all busy practising our cheer leading for the opening ceremony. The cheer performance this year will be really exciting as all teams are trying new acts and that will add more spice to the event. The Red Demons have been practising their cheer in the hostel compound which we manage to peek and learn a few of their cheer chants. Other teams have also been really hardworking practising everyday.
Besides that i'm taking part in the closing ceremony dance performance in which we're having a Four Seasonal Dance. I'm in spring and all i can say is spring rox!! We have a fusion of fan dance with the modern hip hop, as for other seasons, autumn: waltz, winter: jingle bell rocks, summer: some hot dance supposedly. Anyway, i think at the end of the day the show will turn out great.
Oh and my Bangalore trip last week was AWESOME!! We shopped, ate, shopped, ate and shopped all day long. Although the food we ate taste fine compared to Malaysian food but to be able to eat these food here is heaven. We took an afternoon bus and arrived in the evening, then we check into the hotel which is along Brigade Road, the ideal spot for shopping. Haha.. we later walked down the street to eat in a Korean Restaurant. Food was fine. Carried on shopping in Forum Mall till time was up and we left to the airport.
We took an airport bus shuttle at 10.30pm to pick SOMEONE up. Then we were worried that we would not make it for the last shuttle which is 12am. When we asked if there're other transport after 12, the bus assistant told us we can take the cab but it cost up to Rs1000 each. We almost faint. We started banging ourselves for not planning well. And we came up with plans such as putting up a night in the airport to save the Rs1000 compared to our hotel which is slightly cheaper. After all we managed to make it for the last bus, even if we don't there ARE buses operating after midnight. (Of course got larh, common sense, how can there be no transport available in the airport.. haiyo!!) Then the bus stopped at a place where we have to take an auto (indian motor rickshaw) and we almost got cut throat for the auto cost.
We: We want to go to Palms Residency. How much?
Auto: Rs100 one auto
We: WHAT?! No way!! (for locals the actual cost is Rs15)
Too expensive! Cheaper.. Rs100 for 2 autos
Auto: No.. it's at night.. so we're asking more.
We: You're not asking more, you're asking TOO MUCH!
We continue arguing in midnight at the middle of the road as both refused to give in. Then a police came and help us got it at Rs100 for 2 autos. Yay! Mission accomplished. So happy that we didnt have to over pay although it's still considered expensive but no choice because of our skin colour =(
The next morning we had buffet breakfast at a nearby hotel and continued shopping. All in all i had a wonderful time in Bangalore, and the weather there was cooling and comfortable to shop. I got 2 shirts, a blouse, my PIDC closing ceremony dress and heels, all at really good prices. I can laugh till my jaw ache.. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
